#10 Tyrion Kills Shae
Tyrion finds Shae, who had falsely testified against Tyrion at his trial, in his father’s bed who then attacks him with a knife, but Tyrion manages to strangle her. Afterwards, he holds her in his arms and weeps. Tragic.
#9 The Execution of Sansa’s Dire Wolf
Because Arya Stark’s direwolf, Nymeria, attacks Prince Joffrey along the banks of the Trident, Nymeria is ordered to be killed but she cannot be found.The spiteful Queen Cersei Lannister orders Lady to be put down instead. The trusting Lady does not sense Eddard’s intention and is killed with a single blow of his greatsword.
#8 The Death of Ygritte
Ygritte had made her way through the battle to Jon, and it was clear she didn’t have it in her to kill him. As she hesitated, she was shot through the heart with Olly’s arrow, and as she died, told Jon, “We should’ve stayed in that cave,” and, “You know nothing, Jon Snow.”
#7 Stabbing of Jon Snow
After he fought a White Walker in the epic Hardhome battle, it looked as though Jon Snow was invincible. But soon after escaping the Army of Dead he was brutally killed off in shocking season finale, which saw Snow get stabbed by a group of Nights Watchmen with young Olly delivering the final blow.
#6 Burning of Shireen At The Stake
One of the nastiest things to happen on this show was the burning of innocent Shireen at the behest of her father, Stannis Baratheon. Melisandre asks him to burn his daughter Shireen at the stake as a sacrifice, believing that the “king’s blood” in her veins will please the red god, who will then change their fortunes; but it didn’t.

The rape of Sansa Stark by Ramsey Bolton not only shocked viewers, but also invited outrage on social media, and resulting in some publications even refusing to cover Game of Thrones.
#4 Beheading of Ned Stark
Ned Stark’s beheading was the first shocker in the Game of Thrones universe, probably because we all thought he was the protagonist. What can be more tragic than two girls watching their father killed before their eyes.
3. The Mountain kills Oberyn Martell
Fan favorite Oberyn’s death is one of the most memorably horrible moments in Game of Thrones history. The Mountain knocks Oberyn to the ground, then gouges out his eyes while confessing to the murder of Elia and her children, and subsequently crushes Oberyn’s skull and our hearts.
